Hi Dr Rassman, Since I like the close cropped look and I am probably a Norwood 4 leaning towards 5, I am considering getting cosmetic hair tattoos to the scalp. What do you think about this place? The results look great in the photos, but I’ll ask to see some patients in person of course (thanks for putting that in my head!). Here’s the place. They are in the UK, but I’ve got family there and have been wanting to visit anyway.

Can’t I Have Body Hair Transplanted to Scalp If I Don’t Intend My Hair to Be Long?
Hi am 30 years old with a norwood 6 level of baldness. I currently shave my hair with a razor. Inherited Hairline, Inherited Hair Loss?
I inherited a strange hairline characteristic from my Maternal father, one side is and always has been far higher than the other, however it skipped his son. Does this mean I will have the same pattern of hair loss as my grandfather? I ask because everyone in the family except for his son (my uncle) has a pretty good head of hair. Should one even...
Density All Over the Scalp
First off, great site doc. Very helpful. My question is about hair density and thickness. Say one buzzes their hair, should they expect the density and thickness of the hair to be the same over the whole head or are the backs and sides of the head thicker than the top of the scalp, generally? Thanks, doc! If you’re not balding, the density...
Diabetes and Diffuse Thinning?

FUE and Scalp Laxity After 3 Strip Procedures
How many more grafts can you gain if you add FUE. Say i had three strips for 6000 grafts and i’m stripped out. how many on average more grafts can a person get with FUE? One doctor said between 1000 and 2000. Does this sound accurate? thank you Your laxity might be good after three strip surgeries, but some patients might find the donor area...

Hypothetical Graft Requirements for Norwood 6 to 1
I am just curious to know how many grafts would it take for a Norwood 6 to return back to a Norwood 1? I know this is not possible, but suppose hair multiplication became possible in the next decade, can you give us an estimate of how many grafts it would take for a Norwood 6 to return back to Norwood 1 ? In general, you need about 15% of your...
Trichophytic Closure, Hair Transplant Scars, and Scalp Tattoos
Hey Dr. Rassman, I must tell you that your blog has become an important part of my daily routine and can not thank you enough for your continual work on it. I know you probably have your reserves about this head tattoo procedure, but how about getting it done just on the scars from a HT procedure, it seems like a great way to cover up scars for people...
Transplanting Hair to Cover a Scalp Keloid?
I am an African American male age 46 with a keloid on the back of my head which resulted from two surgeries to remove it. Now I have a keloid the size of a strawberry which leaves a bald patch in my hair. Can a hair transplant or hair patch be put in that area to cover it for good? If so will it cause more problems in the future or no? I often see...
