Thanks for the informative site! I’ve searched for similar questions and answers, you’ve addressed delayed and no growth from transplants before, so hopefully this isn’t repeating too much from others. I’m 29 and had a hair transplant with a reputable IAHRS doctor seven months ago. 2400 grafts total were used, placed in the...
Instant Growth of Hair Transplant? (with Photos)
Here’s a patient that reported continued growth of his hair transplants without going through the dreaded dormant phase that usually occurs for some time following the procedure. Now to be honest, the After photos were taken just under 2 years after the surgery so I can’t say I saw this instant (or continued) growth with my own eyes…...
What To Do When You Don’t Like Your Patient?
What To Do When You Don’t Like Your Patient?
This isn’t a hair transplant related post, but it is a trip down memory lane for me. Allow me to indulge myself… I was recently talking with a friend, and I was asked to think back on a case where I had a patient that I simply did not like. While I do get along well with all of my patients today, I thought for a few moments and remembered...
How Many FUE Grafts Actually Grew? (with Photos)
A man came to see me last week with a problem following his hair transplant at another clinic over a year ago. The surgeon told him that 6600 grafts were transplanted using the follicular unit extraction (FUE) technique, which he guaranteed has a yield of over 90%. The patient wanted to know if his surgery actually reflected 6600 grafts, so at the...

Hair Growth 3 Months After Hair Transplant Surgery?
I’m three months post-op from my hair transplant and feeling quite a bit of stubble. Is it my shock loss hair returning (I had it bad) or the newly transplanted follicular unit grafts growing? What Happens When a Class 7 Patient Has No Master Plan?
Without a Master Plan , a Norwood Class 7 patient can be exposed to the worst of the problems in planning. An unfortunate example of this is a patient with a complex surgical history that I just saw who had three procedures with three different doctors over the past 10 years. His balding pattern was heading to a Class 7 and none of … [ visit...
Dealing With Pimples 3 Months After Hair Transplant Surgery
I’m approaching the 3 month mark after hair transplant surgery and I’m starting to get some pimples in the receipeint area. My question is if i pop them will it hurt the grafts?  I know that they say at 10 days you would have to surgically remove the follicular units and that you cannot lose them, but what damage  Read More →
Consumer Reviews of Min New York Agent
Expensive minoxidil brand By Terry from the US, age 44, who has been using Min New York Agent for five months: At $36 a month, this product is an overpriced version of generic minoxidil. How Hair Grows and Matures after a Hair Transplant
