Are Companies Restricted from Providing Ongoing Clinical Trial Info?

February 1st, 2010 admin

Will aderans send out an update on what they are doing or there progress so far with their phase two study? Do they have to keep their trials confidential or are there rules that restrict them from giving out information before the trials are complete? I think the FDA frowns upon companies that release information prematurely, which may impact the ability of those … [ visit site to read more ]

Are Drug Companies Making a Better Finasteride?
Hey Dr Rassman First of all I would just like to recognize all the the individuals who help make this site what it is. Its great. I love it! To be honest it distracts me at school a lot. I keep saying to myself, okay read one more post and thats it! But now for the serious part. I’m just wondering about the progress which is being made in the...

Releasing Clinical Trial Results, Follow-Up
Note: One of my favorite contributors to this site is a reader (that wishes to remain nameless) that has provided wonderful insight into areas like LLLT (hair lasers) and the FDA. I’m admittedly not an expert in everything (no matter how much I wish I was), and he’s corrected my initial thoughts about  Read More →

Stem Cells, Hair Loss Treatment, and Politics
I was curious what you’re views might be on stem cell research legislation and how political decisions might impact future progress, since stem cell therapies seem to hold the best promise for a cure to baldness. From what I have read, restrictions placed on research during the socially right-leaning Bush years have set cures back by years....
Reader Upset By Criticism of Wig Costs
Dear Dr. Rassman, I’m a fairly young hair loss sufferer (23), and I’m currently evaluating my options. Finasteride gave me side effects, despite two trials (one low dose). As you’re no doubt aware, the remaining topical and internal treatments are either even more side-effect prone (dutasteride) or simply not very effective (almost...

Intercytex Facing Serious Financial Difficulties
Skin regeneration specialist Intercytex put itself up for sale following the failure of a Phase III study of its leading project involving Cyzact, a therapy for healing chronic wounds caused by venous leg ulcers. This failure, combined with poor economic results in 2008, leaves the company struggling to secure financing for its existing projects....
Blindly Following Hair Loss Treatment Companies
I honestly think you have been somewhat indifferent towards Histogen’s potential. As researchers have recently discovered, the baldness gene affects WTN7 pathway. Histogen stimulates this pathway to produce new folicles and thicken exisiting ones. Obviously, there is a connection. The only affirmative emails you respond to involve propecia....
