Rogaine Consumer Reviews

Rogaine gives me thicker hair By Tom, age 31, who has been using Rogaine for Men for one year: I am not sure whether other readers find it positive or not but one aspect of Rogaine for men that I like is the fact that it dries so slowly. It makes me feel that its effects last longer when compared with other fast-drying minoxidil lotions. I have used a variety of generic minoxidil products in the past but they always gave me the impression of drying my scalp and making my hair appear thinner and colourless. Rogaine has made my hair thicker and darker.

Easy to apply and fast drying By Neil from the US, age 33, who has been using Rogaine foam for year and a half: This is a great improvement over the liquid form. It has its typical smell that many are complaining about but other than that this stuff is practically unnoticeable in your hair a few minutes after application. It does not differ from minoxidil...
Feels better than Rogaine by Garry from NY, age 30, who has been using minoxidil 15% with azelaic acid 5% (Xandrox) for two years: I am using a mixture of 15% minoxidil and 5% azelaic acid with good success. I have tried numerous other minoxidil products in the past but this seems to work best for me. The only drawback is that it leaves a residue...
Rogaine was the first medicinal product in history approved by a major national health supervisory authority – the FDA (the US Food and Drug Administration) to treat male pattern baldness. To this day it is the only clinically-proven, topical method of treating hereditary hair loss that can be used by both men and women. Minoxidil is the sole...
Nizoral makes my hair darker by Myhairloss, age 29, who has been using Nizoral for two months: I had read that Nizoral shampoo helps eliminate DHT in the scalp and decided to give it a go, although I am not suffering from dandruff. I am using minoxidil and generic Propecia daily against my hair loss and now, since about eight weeks ago, I shampoo...
Expensive minoxidil brand By Terry from the US, age 44, who has been using Min New York Agent for five months: At $36 a month, this product is an overpriced version of generic minoxidil. I used it for five months but am unable to judge if it was any better than the generic mixture containing minoxidil and azelaic acid I am using today. I understand...
Nothing revolutionary but works somehow by fred from Massachusetts, age 38, who has been using Dermenodex Thinning Hair Scalp Treatment for 4 months: I have been testing Dermenodex thinning hair scalp treatment for four months, having read quite a few positive reviews of it on the Internet. I used minoxidil before I started with Dermenodex and have...
Rogaine foam is a relatively new form of minoxidil application and it is not yet very popular outside of the North America. It contains 5% of minoxidil, which is equivalent to Rogaine Extra Strength solution, so it is currently only available for use by men. Rogaine foam is claimed to be a superior delivery form of minoxidil. But in addition to being...
Xandrox is one of the more popular generic topical applications for treating hair loss. It combines the benefits of the FDA-approved hair growth stimulant, minoxidil, with the assumed dihydrotestosterone (DHT) inhibitor, azelaic acid, in a single formula. There are dozens of other generic minoxidil applications that mimic this formula available on...
ReNature – works for me by GreyHunk from Hungary, age 43, who has been using Re-Nature for 3 months by now: After trying various hair-dye products, I found that I am allergic to PPD, the component used in most darker shade hair-dyes. As I also like my short beard, even the slightest allergic reaction or irritation renders a product unusable...
I’m 26 and have been thinning for the past year on top/crown and my hairline is receding a little. I have finally started rogaine and just found out about “shedding”. This makes me very nervous, and I have some questions: What percentage of men who use rogaine experience shedding? What are the side effects if I discontinue rogaine during the...
