Have You Ever Been the Victim of a Hair Scam?
It is an accepted fact that at least 90% of all hair loss products available on the market today are a scam. However, this general knowledge does not prevent many of us from falling into the same old marketing trap and buying some. Billions of dollars spent annually on useless rubbish confirm this statement. Although some hair frauds have been brought...
Choosing the Best Product for Your Greying Hair
Given the current medicinal options, it is not possible to reverse the colour of your grey hair naturally. Although there are a number of products that derive their anti-grey hair effects from Ayurveda, traditional Chinese medicine or homeopathy, all of them have one thing in common and that is they are not effective for the great majority of grey...
Confusing Hair Loss Treatments
If you go to see your dermatologist about your hair loss, you probably come back with a prescription for Propecia (or other form of finasteride), advice to try Rogaine (minoxidil) and, where appropriate, with a basic introductory knowledge to hair transplantation. Some doctors may also recommend other things but the choices are limited. However, there...
No Room for Optimism for New Hair Treatments?
While I don’t disagree necessarily with the premise that doing nothing now, in hopes of treatment in the future, is a course of action that is done at an individual’s own peril — the balance of this response is quite gloomy and alarming. Of course, you are the professional, and we defer to your knowledge — but you truly believe that NO beter...
Why Do We Like Natural Hair Loss Treatments?
The sales of natural hair loss treatments are breaking historical highs these days and new products are emerging every day. This swing to all-natural products seems to be a general consumer trend not confined to the hair loss industry. The modern glutamate generation is reinventing traditional products in all walks of life. Generations that have long...
Consumer Reviews of Min New York Agent
Expensive minoxidil brand By Terry from the US, age 44, who has been using Min New York Agent for five months: At $36 a month, this product is an overpriced version of generic minoxidil. I used it for five months but am unable to judge if it was any better than the generic mixture containing minoxidil and azelaic acid I am using today. I understand...

Edible Hair Treatments? — Coconut Oil, Eggs, and More
Hi Dr.Rassman, I understand that there are products in the market that can slow down the hair loss. What do you think about coconut oil, and also I have seen people using hair mask with Egg and yogurt and lemon? Are these good for for scalp treatment and conditioning? thanks Those all sound delicious, but they won’t slow down your hair loss....
Bosley Taking Over as the Market Leader in Hair Regeneration Research
Aderans Research Institute, an affiliate of Bosley and one of a few research units in the world involved in exploring hair regeneration (also known as hair cloning) has recently announced that it acquired the key research assets of its main competitor, Intercytex, one of the market leaders in the area of hair regeneration. This news was not unexpected...
Stem Cells, Hair Loss Treatment, and Politics
I was curious what you’re views might be on stem cell research legislation and how political decisions might impact future progress, since stem cell therapies seem to hold the best promise for a cure to baldness. From what I have read, restrictions placed on research during the socially right-leaning Bush years have set cures back by years....
All Roads Lead to Hair Transplant Surgery
Hair transplant surgery is, besides wearing wigs and using concealers, the only method of hair restoration that produces guaranteed results that everyone will notice. If you use medicinal drugs or believe in magic and employ herbal remedies to regrow your lost hair, it can take years to see any results and most likely you will be the only person to...
